For good hygiene, change towels after three to four uses. Rotate two towels so one dries fully between uses, and you will only need to wash them about every two weeks. Skipping this can cause musty smells and make white towels look gray.

Bath mats need even more frequent care. Their damp surface, plus bathroom warmth and low light, creates ideal conditions for mold and bacteria. Wash bath mats at least once a week to remove grime and keep the space sanitary.
